Meet Scout! He is a 1 yr old neutered male mixed breed that weighs 49lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/25 as a stray. He is a very handsome boy, and has such a loving personality to go with his good looks. He walks very well on a leash, takes treats gently, and the moment you sit down on the bench, Scout will sit close to you for petting and give you plenty of kisses. When he first came in, he was very shy and timid. With time spent with staff and volunteers, along with his new kennel mate, he has come out of his shell. As we walked through the shelter yard he enjoyed romping about with a smile on his face, but he wanted to stay close to his human companion. As he moves into a new environment or meets more people it takes him a little time to warm up in his new surroundings. He has a sparkle in his eye that shows you how much love he has to give. He is a very gentle, kind, affectionate boy that would make a great family companion. Playing in his own secured backyard then living inside to cuddle close on the couch with his loved ones is what this sweet boy deserves. You just can't help falling for this wonderful boy. Come spend time with Scout!
