Adopt Drew a White American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed Breed (Medium) / Mixed

Drew is an exceptionally affectionate sweet boy. I fell in love with him and so did another volunteer that was with me. Another staff member also exclaimed about what a good boy he is. He's a two year-old 50 pound white with brown spots terrier pit that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/4 as a stray. I don't know where to begin to write a glowing evaluation of this wonderful dog that would make such a loving, loyal companion. He's got imploring eyes where you can see the love shine through when he looks at you. He knows the sit and down commands. He's very well mannered and doesn't jump on you. He's highly motivated by treats so should be easy to train. He does need practice on taking treats gently. He's very playful. He chases balls but doesn't retrieve them. He chose to stay close enjoying all the attention he could get! He likes to be petted and nudges you when you stop. He gives kisses. His tail wags constantly indicating that he's a happy contented boy. He did his business in the yard and kept his kennel clean. He does have a strong pull on the leash, but then he wanted to get outside. He did not have a problem meeting other dogs. He would love children to play with. There's no doubt he would be very gentle with them. He would love a yard to play in, but mostly would like to spend time cuddling with his new family during family time!
