Adopt Trixie a Black American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed Breed (Medium) / Mixed

How can you look at this adorable American Pit Bull terrier without smiling? I couldn't! This is Trixie an American Pit Bull terrier, Staffordshire Bull terrier mix that is one year old and weighs 35 pounds. She arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/7 as a stray. She is already spayed. It looks like she's black and white and basically she is but in the sun you can tell that she's a very, very dark brown. She's a real cutie pie with a cute face and a wiggly low rider body. She's happy indicated by the fact that her tail wags constantly! She's friendly, enthusiastic, sweet, affectionate, and very observant. She liked sitting by the gate watching the construction workers. She stayed close looking up at me with her adoring eyes. She sits for treats and takes them gently. Once she found out I had treats she continued to sit. She's highly motivated by treats and should be easy to train. She's well behaved. She doesn't jump on you. She comes when you call her. She had a strong pull on the leash getting out to the yard but walked back fairly well. She wagged her tail meeting other dogs. She didn't seem to have a problem with them. Although she likes to exercise, she told me she's a couch potato and would love to curl up on your lap while you're watching TV or reading a good book!
